Experience:

HS: 4 years Varsity Letter Earned Lincoln High School (Stockton), High School All-American in Long Jump and Triple Jump (2004), Triple Jump Section Champion (2004), Member of 1st Team Section Title in school history, 4x100m Relay Section Champion (2004), Long Jump Section Finalist (2004 - 5th, 2002 - 5th), Triple Jump Section Finalist (2002 - 4th), Triple Jump School Record Holder (47’9.5”)

Collegiate: Indoor Rookie of the Year (2005), Big Sky Conference Indoor Triple Jump Finalist (2005 - 4th), Big Sky Conference Outdoor Triple Jump Finalist (2008 - 8th), Member of the 2008 Big Sky Indoor Conference Championship Team

Coaching: He rejoined the RHS Track & Field staff in 2017, resuming head coaching duties, and taking back the horizontal jumps full time. Spent two seasons coaching primarily at American River College (’15 & ’16). Since his return has led the jump squad to multiple event titles in: TJ (VB – ’17, ’18. F/SG – ‘18), and LJ (F/SG – ’18. F/SB – ‘17). While at ARC (2016) qualified 4 jumpers to the CCC State Meet in Long Jump, and 2 in Triple Jump. Prior to Joining ARC he spent 4 years with Rosemont HS coaching the jumps (2 seasons as Head Coach). In that time he helped win 3 league titles on the boy’s side, two titles on the girls. He Had 9 school records broken: Varsity Boy’s LJ (12’, 13’, 14’) & TJ (13’, 14’), JV Boy’s LJ (12’, 14’) & TJ (12’, 14’) by student-athletes under his supervision. Also coached the SJS Division II LJ Champion (14’) and SJS Masters and Division II TJ champions (13’, 14’) as well as taken 3 athletes to the California State Meet (13’, 14’), and a CIF All-American in TJ (14’). Finished 2nd overall for boys Sections in 2013/16, the best finishes in school history.

Collegiate: 3-time Big Sky Conference Outdoor Long Jump Champion (2003, 2004, 2005), 2-time Big Sky Conference Indoor Long Jump Champion (2004, 2005), NCAA Long Jump All-American (2004), 2-Time Big Sky Conference 4x100m Relay Champion, 100m Big Sky Conference Outdoor Finalist (2004 -4th), 55m Big Sky Conference Indoor Finalist (2004 – 8th), Competed in the 2004 Olympic Trials, Sac State Long Jump Record Holder (25’9.25”)

Coaching: Spent first 5 years coaching at Rosemont HS with the jumps, in that time helped the Wolverines to two league titles for both boys and girls, took one jumper to the state meet. Spent 1 year at Hiram Johnson, in that time revitalized a broken track program helping them win their first league event (High Jump) in many years. Came back to the Wolverines in 2013 to helm the sprint and relay events, also adding hurdles to workload as well in 2017. In that time has coached league champions in the following events: 100m (VB: ’14, ’16, ’18, ‘19. F/SB: ‘14), 200m (VB: ’16, ’17, ’18, ‘19. F/SB: ‘14), 4x100m Relay (VB: ’14, ’16, ’17. VG: ’19. F/BS: ’14. F/SG: ‘15), 4x400m Relay (VB: ’14, ’16. VG: ’16, ’17, ‘19), 110m HH (VB: ’18, ‘19.), and the 300m (VB: ’18, ‘19. F/SG: ’18)

Gordon Hubble



Assistant Coach: Distance/Cross Country

Experience:

Coaching: Coach Hubble has come in and completely revitalized the Wolverine distance program in his 2 years with us. Has spent 45 years coaching in Sac Joaquin Section. Started at Encina High School (1975-1985) as Head XC and T&F coach. Spent the next 22 seasons in the same capacity at Rio Americano (‘85-’17). In Cross Country Coach Hubble has won 6 Section titles 12 League titles over 75 all league runners; coached over 15 teams and over 100 athletes at the state XC championships. In ’98 was named CIF: Coach of the Year. In track he has had 26 state meet athletes, 1 Section title, over 50 all league runners. Many league titles. Named Sacramento Bee Coach of the Year 2007.

Chris Watkins




Assistant Coach: Throws

Experience:

Coaching: Has a total of 9 years experience as a Throws coach. Spent one Season as Head Coach at Hiram Johnson HS. Last season coached the throwers to 6 event titles at SVC Championships, and get 3 throwers to the Masters meet. In 2017 coached the Varsity Girls League Champion in both the Shot and Disc, also Div-IIII Champion in the Discus. Also saw top finishers in the JV Boy’s Shot put (3rd and 4th) as well as the Discus (2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th). In 2016 coached the SVC Varsity Boy’s League Champion in Discus, followed up by a 2nd place finish at Div-IIII Championships the next week. Has also had 7 records broken under his tutelage: Varsity Girl’s SP (’15, ’17), Varsity Boy’s Discus (’16), Frosh/Soph Boy’s SP (’14, ’17, ‘19), and Frosh/Soph Boy’s Discus (’17).

Masoud Rahim




Assistant Coach: Pole Vault

Experience:

HS: Competed for the wolverines from ‘06-‘10.

Coaching: In his time with the Wolverines he has revamped the pole vault crew, and helped 5 vaulters advance to divisionals on the Varsity Boy’s side (2 in ’17, 2 in ’18, 1 in ‘19), and 2 on the Varsity Girl’s side (1 in ’17, 1 in ‘19). Apparently gives the best pre-race pep talks.


Cory Barger






Assistant Coach: High Jump

Experience:

HS: A 2013 graduate of Bella Vista HS Coach Barger qualified for the California State meet in the long jump as a senior, and was the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I champion. He set his PR with a long jump of 23’06.25” to win the CVC title, was also the CVC champion in the high jump (6’2”) and triple jump (44’00.25”).

Collegiate: 2018 Season: Competed at the NCAA West Preliminary in the long jump, earned all-Big Sky honors in the event after placing second with a wind-aided mark of 24-08.25; Indoors, he placed fourth at the Big Sky Championships in the long jump. 2017 Season: Earned honorable mention All-American honors in the long jump as he placed 17th at the NCAA Div. I Outdoor Championships with a best of 24-01.00, qualified for the meet after recording a wind-aided leap of 25-03.25 at the NCAA West Preliminary…placed fourth at the Big Sky Championships in the event…top wind-legal jump was 24-08.25; Indoors, he was fourth in the long jump with a career best 24-01.50. 2016 Season: Placed sixth in the long jump at the Big Sky Championships after a season-best leap of 23-06.00. Indoors, he placed third at the Big Sky meet long jumped 23-11.75. 2015 Season: Qualified for the Big Sky Championships in the long jump where he placed sixth; Indoors he was sixth at the conference meet in the long jump following a best of 23-06.75

Coaching: This will be Coach Barger’s 2nd year with the Wolverines. In his first year he helped out with the horizontal jumps and the high jump.
